Cassie - approx 15 month old female - small GSD/terrier cross - in UK

This is lovely little Cassie also known as Shyflower. Cassie was found on the streets of Romania when she was about 6 months old alone, with no sign of her mother. It is most likely she was born on the street but sadly at some point her mother had disappeared possibly killed by a larger dog or by local people. However it had happened Cassie was young, alone, small and terrified. Finding food is always a struggle on the streets but especially for a young small dog. Every day was a struggle to survive, being chased off food, chased by humans and with water and shelter in very short supply. For a little girl she showed so much mental and physical strength to survive this horrendous situation.

Thin, thirsty and covered in fleas and tick Cassie was spotted by someone who knew of a local rescue. It  took a little time to get Cassie to approach her but as soon as Cassie realised she was in no danger she approached the lady and showed that despite everything she would trust her. And so she went with her rescuer to the local shelter where her fleas and ticks were treated and slowly but surely she grew in size and mental and physical strength.

Then one day her journey moved forward, bringing her to a family in the UK. For the first time she knew what it was to be in a loving home, always warm, safe and comfortable. She showed that although life had treated her so badly she had so much love in her. Playful and energetic one her  favourite things is to play at 'high fiving' you but she equally loved time being fussed. She loves cuddling up to watch t.v of an evening.  Cheeky and full of character she showed she also had a gentle and kind soul. People, whether child or adult, male or female are all equal to her, and she loves them all.

Unfortunately though, due to circumstances the family can no longer keep her and this lovely girl is once again looking for a forever home. She can be a little destructive just as a result of her past life and her insecurities .. but with a little work this will get better. She is great with other dogs but is not a good dog to have around cats or small animals, as with many terriers.

But, the love she has to give is never ending .. and she so deserves a forever home where she can have the love she needs for the rest of her life.
