Aida
is just 7 months old and yet she has suffered more hardships than any dog
deserves. Aida and 6 siblings were born on the streets to a feral mother who,
being quite young could not look after them very well and living on scraps of food her
milk wasn’t very filling so her pups spent every day feeling the pains of
hunger. Every day they would hear the
sounds of dogs fighting for food and water, and their mother would do the best
she could to guide them away from any trouble. They soon learnt to avoid people
as well, after seeing other dogs beaten, kicked and murdered by local people
who just didn’t want them around.

Aida as a pup |
One
day their luck changed when a lovely lady gathered them up from the streets and
took them into her shelter. Their mother was so terrified and yet she allowed
the lady to put her in her car along with her pups. The pups seemed to accept
her more, nervous but not terrified and either realising she was a good person
or, resigned to their fate they went along with no great trouble.
The
mother and pups were given a small amount of food often, to try to build them
up slowly but they were in a very poor physical state and sadly 2 of them died,
leaving Aida and 4 siblings. They needed a lot of treatment to clear them of
the fleas and ticks that had irritated them for so long and with love and care
they slowly started to trust.
Sadly
though the need for treatment over such a length of time has gone against them
as although extremely beautiful they are no longer young puppies and certainly
in their country this limited the number of people interested. 2 siblings have
now found homes in their country but for Aida, Mozart and Beethoven it seemed
that foster in the UK would be their best chance of finding the forever homes
they so need and deserve.
Aida
has a wonderful character, loves to play, sweet and kind but most of all she
loves to be around people and to be cuddled! She is 19 kg and is 57cm long and
will make life complete for anyone who decides to give her a good home and lots
of love!
