TAMI - Croatia - year old labrador mix female needs a home - ON DEATH ROW

Tami is a beautiful dog who does not have much time left. She is in the public shelter and the dogs have only 60 days to be adopted before they are killed. Tami's death date is 20.02.14 so she is in urgent need of a home to save her life.  Usually the dogs have more time to be adopted but as the pound is so overcrowded Tami has been scheduled to die on the 25th, as have five other dogs.  She is only a year old and black dogs are never adopted in Croatia, as thought unlucky and unattractive, most of the dogs put down are black.

Tami may have escaped a miserable existence with starvation, cruelty and danger on the street when taken to the public shelter but life in the pound is horrific by any standard. The food is given very sparingly, fights are frequent and care and love are non-existent apart from when the volunteers visit to feed the dogs.  They get them ready to travel and promote them in the hope they are adopted.

Tami is 18 kg and fully grown so medium sized.  She is a sweet and friendly girl who will make a wonderful family member and companion.  She is great with people and other dogs.  Please get in touch if you can offer Tami a home, she hasn't much time left and deserves to live.
